I met Billy at a turning point in my life. He was some guy flipping pizzas in the kitchen and I was an inexperienced server with dreadlocks, but our meeting seemed to me almost fated. After a long year of effort on my part, we finally started dating... I barely knew him at that time, but I knew from the beginning that I wanted to be with him forever. Shortly after the four year mark of our relationship (November 20, 2020) I finally asked him if he felt the same way. That was the day that I asked him to marry me. Someone played a joke on me at work, patting me on the back and leaving a big white cornmeal handprint. Walking through the kitchen, Tina spoke her first words to me: “Are you an Uruk’Hai?” I turned and looked at her, confused. “You have the white hand of Sarumon on your back.” Obviously, it was clear from the very beginning that we were perfect for each other. Now, after ups and downs and travels and cross-country moves and crazy dogs and loving each other more and more through all of it, it’s never been clearer.
