We're getting married!

Wes and Christina met during New Student Orientation at California Lutheran University. They were in the same peer group and did activities with that peer group for a majority of the orientation. One day, the group needed to carpool to their faculty advisor's house for a BBQ, and the others had already gone in other cars together. So Christina jumped in Wes' car, hoping it was okay. They hung out at that BBQ and exchanged numbers. And the rest is history.

During a visit to the aquarium, Wes had arranged us to be part of the sea lion show. After feeding and doing tricks with Harpo the sea lion, the final activity was for Harpo to retrieve a booey and bring it back to Christina. When he brought it back, Christina picked it up and it had the message "Will You Marry Me?" on it. She turned around and Wes was on one knee. And she said yes of course!
