They had all but given up on the idea of finding their forever person. They realized maybe they were the problem (obvi) so instead, they dove into developing themselves as individuals. Separately yet simultaneously they focused on appreciating their day to day experiences and embodied the “all or nothing” mindset in everything they did. Whilst unaware the other existed, they were stepping through life in a synchronized fashion. Brief flirtation on-line developed into hours long face time calls. Travis flew to California to meet Christina after two months of communication. At the end of this trip, Travis asked Christina if he could court her. Christina was ecstatic yet played it chill. Our girl is no simp 😎 The following two and a half years were filled with hard work and tenacity. In California, Christina worked as an anesthesia technician whilst completing her degree as a registered nurse. In Maryland, Travis continuously moved up in rank within his role as a welder for the United States Coast Guard. After two and a half years, fifty+ collective flights, debt accrual following ever changing carry-on policies, one degree, two promotions, and perfecting the art of communication, Travis flew to California once again in October of 2023 to propose. Christina accepted Travis’ proposal as well as a job offer as a neurological ICU nurse in the state of Maryland. In July of 2024, Travis and Christina drove 2,754 miles across the country with two beloved kitty cats (Toasty & Peanut) and celebrated the reality of togetherness as they moved into their first place. Yes, they drove across this entire country for Christina’s geriatric cats as their little feline tickers would have never survived the flight. Anyway, if you’re still here, this last year has enriched them both individually and as a couple. They are enriched and in desperate need of a nap. The couple is extremely tired as this has been one hell of a first year cohabitating -new career, cross country move, planning a wedding, and they are moving again?! Give it up for them 👏Unfortunately, neither can claim the role as good looking one at this point. Word has it, the majority of the wedding budget was allotted towards photoshop and airbrushing Travis’ grey’s and Christina’s eye bags. Don’t mention this rapid aging horror to the couple, they know. They’ve been known. Enough about them.
