FAQs

Question

Which airport to fly into?

Answer

SeaTac will be the most common and best option. Otherwise Paine Field Airport, Skagit Regional Airport or if you want to fly International, Vancouver BC is another option. Both Paine and Skagit will have limited options but will be closest to the venue. Mount Vernon is about 2 hours north of Seattle and 2 hours south of Vancouver. There is also an Amtrak line from Seattle to Vancouver that has a stop in Mount Vernon. ✈️🚝🚘 ****Washington traffic is very heavy almost all day Friday. Please allow yourself ample time to travel.

Question

How far out to book hotel stay?

Answer

Washington will still be in high summer season. Mount Vernon is a popular destination with flower, antique, and outdoor enthusiasts. We STRONGLY recommend booking hotels and flights sooner than later. Especially since hotels only have a certain amount of rooms reserved. 📆 The Swinomish Casino needs rooms booked by 7/17. Most will need reservations before September 1st.

Question

Transportation and Getting to the Venue

Answer

There are limited Lyfts and Uber’s in Mount Vernon. We are currently working on possible transportation from La Conner Inn. Swinomish hotel and Casino has a shuttle that can transport you to the venue for $10 per-person up to 20 round trip. Hampton Inn is the closest hotel to the venue at only 2 miles. The Grand Willow Inn is an estate house in a fairly rural area, google mapping the address the directions are easy to follow: 17926 DUNBAR ROAD MOUNT VERNON WA 98273

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Wedding ceremony will start promptly @330, please arrive early for a seat and to park car if you’re driving. ⏰

Question

Are children welcomed?

Answer

We love kids but want the adults to have a great time! We know a lot of family will be traveling with kids and if you need a recommendation for a sitter or would like them to attend please let us know. The Grand Willow Inn is not a conducive environment for children. If they are attending, they will need to be supervised at all times. We would strongly suggest making it a date night with your significant other. 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏼

Answer

Yes, white duh! Besides that our wedding party will be dressed in raspberry, mauve, rose and navy.

Question
