Things To Do

We're so excited that you're spending the weekend on the west coast! There are about a million things to do and see, but we've put together a few of our favorites to offer some inspiration for your trip.
Lands End Trail

Lands End Trail

Lands End Coastal Trail, San Francisco, CA 94121

This is a 4-mile coastal hike near the Golden Gate bridge. It's one of the best views of the Bridge in the city, and you can check out the Sutro Baths as well. You can make the hike as long or short as you'd like and you don't need hiking gear, tennis shoes will be fine.

Golden Gate Park

Golden Gate Park

San Francisco, CA

Golden Gate Park is the city's biggest park (1,000 acres!) and has so many spots to visit: Japanese Tea Gardens, Conservatory of Flowers, Botanic Gardens, Museum of Nature and Science and the Art Museum. So unique and pretty for a visit or a stroll.

Ferry Building

Ferry Building

One Ferry Building, San Francisco, CA 94111

A visit to the Ferry Building can't be missed and its significance is two-fold: it's both a historic architectural landmark and a marketplace stocked head to toe with local merchants serving coffee, chocolate, ice cream, bread and everything else perfect. If you head to Sausalito, you'll catch the ferry here, too.

Presidio and Crissy Field

Presidio and Crissy Field

San Francisco, CA

The Presido is at the base of the Golden Gate bridge and a former U.S. Army post. Today, it's a national park site and perfect for a stroll. Make your way to Crissy Field to sit on the beach and watch pups play and take in the view of the bridge (which truly never gets old).

Washington Square

Washington Square

Filbert St & Stockton Street, San Francisco, CA 94133

Washington Square is a park in North Beach, the Italian neighborhood of the city. It is bordered by sidewalk cafes and restaurants and Saint Peter & Paul’s Church and feels quintessentially San Francisco. Sip on a Aperol Spritz at Park Tavern or climb the hills through North Beach and to Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill - the views are worth it.

Sausalito

Sausalito

Sausalito, CA 94965

Spending a day in Sausalito is one of our favorite things to do! It's a quaint seaside village with a bit of an artsy vibe, postcard views of the bay and San Francisco skyline and plenty of options for shopping and dining (Bar Bocce is our favorite)! You can take a ferry roundtrip from the Ferry Building or drive just across the Golden Gate bridge to get there.

Ram's Gate Winery

Ram's Gate Winery

28700 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA 95476

Ram's Gate looks like it is straight out of a Restoration Hardware catalog and is the first winery you hit on the drive into Sonoma. We haven't visited yet, but will definitely be stopping in on Saturday afternoon. Maybe we'll see you there, too! :)

Pangloss Cellars

Pangloss Cellars

35 East Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476

Pangloss Cellars is a beautiful tasting room on the Plaza in downtown Sonoma. After a glass (or two!) here, visit another one of the 30+ tasting rooms within a block of the Plaza.

Gundlach Bundschu Winery

Gundlach Bundschu Winery

2000 Denmark Street, Sonoma, CA 95476
, (707) 938-5277

Gundlach Bundschu is California's oldest family-owned winery and has the vibe to match. It's casual and relaxed and you can enjoy a bottle and picnic on the grounds. If you're feeling adventurous, you can take a vineyard and cave tour, too!

Sonoma Valley Bike Tours & Rentals

Sonoma Valley Bike Tours & Rentals

1254 Broadway, Sonoma, CA 95476

There are a handful of wineries in Sonoma that you can hop between on a (leisurely) bike ride. The bike shop can offer suggested routes and stops and you'll start and end your trip right in downtown Sonoma.
