Garden Valley is a scenic, unincorporated mountain community and census-designated place in Boise County, Idaho, located about 45 miles (a 50-minute drive) north of Boise along the Payette River. Tucked in the Boise National Forest, it is a popular destination for outdoor recreation and nature getaways. We have some excellent food and drink spots to share if you head downtown to the bustling streets of Downtown, Boise. These include Suite 104, Chris Ruths Steak House, Chandlers Prime Steaks & Fine Seafood, Barbacoa, Tupelo Honey, Fork, and Bacon. Freak alley is not a restaurant, however, it's a must-see when downtown; most of these locations and must-sees are found on 8th street. Another wonderful area is anywhere on the green belt.
The Idaho State Capital is a must-see here in the Potato State. The Capital is covered in beautiful white granite with beautiful flowers and sights from outside. It is full of the state's long history and origination.
