How Did We Meet? <3

The Wedding Website of Christina Beggan and Reils O'Neill

Christina's Version

Reils is the love of my life. There’s no one like him on the planet. Upon meeting, we gabbed for four hours straight, prompting my friend to predict “you guys are totally going to get married.” :') Who would’ve thought?! ... Well, maybe not us, considering he kicked me out of his frat a month prior. :O Destiny magically aligned the sky for soulmates to find each other - a few minutes before Reils expelled me from Sig Chi for being “too drunk.” He must’ve meant “too marry-able” and security misheard him?! It took us a month of dating to realize this was our actual first interaction. Our earliest words involved me wagging a red solo cup, demanding he "fill [it] to the briiiimmmmm with wineee.” He affectionately replied “...huh?” <3 The night commenced.

I remember thinking Reils was sooooo cute and decided dancing would get his attention. It worked! I was approached by security and told that the guy who served me was concerned, so it was time to go. Welp. The mixer was alien-themed, but I’m only human! I ran out of the party, swearing to never return. I was in such a rush I left without shoes - a modern day fairy tale á la Cinderella. <3 On our first ~*official*~ introduction, my friends and I were starved when a DREAMBOAT walked by asking, “Domino’s? Downstairs?! Be right down” - I locked eyes with my friends and said “get him, girls.” Reils and I immediately hit it off, prompting the marriage prediction. We hung out nearly everyday that week and fell in love. A few weeks later he asked, “WAIT were you that crazy girl who-” I interjected, “NO huh WHAT hm UH probably not,” as it all dawned on me. We now know I was simply drunk on love - nothing else! Over eight years later, and our wedding is any day now <3 AHHH! I'M SO HAPPY!!

Reils' Version

One fateful night in early March 2018, a delightfully animated girl came behind the bar at our fraternity party and asked me for something. I couldn’t hear her at first over the blaring music and leaned in to listen. Cup in hand, she shouted to “FILL IT TO THE BRIM” and smiled. I laughed and filled it to the brim. Before handing her the spilling cup of Franzia, I asked for her name and she told me, but I unfortunately didn’t hear her clearly and was too embarrassed to ask again. I would then witness the unknown beauty bust it down on our dance floor like nobody else could. Other sober brothers took note of her free-flowing moves and decided that she should be cut off for the rest of the night, a sentiment I echoed. At the end of the party, I had moved to the porch. All of the sudden, I heard the “CA-CHUNK” sound of our door being flown open and spun to see a barefoot girl moving at light speed, shoes in hand, sprinting towards God knows where.

Fast forward to the night of April 7th, I was hanging out with some friends and decided to order a pizza and parmesan bread bites. After getting the food, I turned to see I had been followed by two hungry girls. I shared some of the bread bites and we ended up talking for hours. One of them I felt an immediate connection with; I instantly knew she was one of a kind, and was very surprised to meet someone so different from everyone else at Gettysburg College. I was sure to get her name and instagram handle - Christina, or “beggan4pizza,” fittingly.   Over the course of a week, I began spending more time with Christina, finding it hard to hide my smile and the obvious tells I was in love with her. A couple weeks in, I made the connection that SHE was the mysterious, striking, and free-spirited girl from before. On our first official date on April 20th, she gave me a plastic ring with a pot of gold on it. Eight years later, I’m returning the favor.
