All the way back to June 2012, a recently turned 21 year old Christina was exploring the bars of Erie, Pennsylvania when she received a text that evening from a mutual friend asking permission to give out her phone number to a Philip Myrick. Apparently while talking to this mutual friend at Plymouth, Philip saw Christina and was instantly interested. Christina couldn’t say no after checking out Phil’s facebook and seeing how handsome he was so they chatted through text messages and planned their first date at Sara’s on Presque Isle.

A long long time ago…in a city, far far away….I (Phil) decided it was time to take our relationship to the next level. This was a few months after a not so stuble hint of “wedding ring shopping” while I was visting Erie over the holidays. As I was hours away keeping my secret proposal plans were much easier than many others. With the help of Elise King (Christina’s friend from pharmacy school & bridesmaid), she was able to convince Christina to get their nails done, unfortunately Christina wasnt able to find a coupon and had to pay full price…but I digress. After school Christina stopped at my parents house so that she could see our dog Abby, this was my chance! Under the guise of a dog walk, I bent the knee and asked if she would be willing to spend the rest of her life with me. She thankfully accepted!
