Things To Do

We know you're coming to town for the big show, but we can't personally entertain and feed you all weekend. Lake Geneva has more to do than you can fit into a weekend, so here are a couple ideas for things to do and places to eat & drink.
Lake Geneva Lakeshore Path

Lake Geneva Lakeshore Path

Explore the actual Lake Geneva while shaking your head at the size of some of the houses. It likely won't be beach weather this weekend, but you can still explore Lake Geneva up close by walking the Lake Geneva Shore Path. The public path wraps entirely around Lake Geneva and is open to everyone thanks to a 19th century decree requiring the “20 feet leading to the shoreline be preserved as public domain.” The path is 26 miles and can take 8-10 hours to walk, so unless you're planning an actual marathon, maybe have a turnaround point.

Lake Geneva Boat Tours

Lake Geneva Boat Tours

Captain Mark and his first mate Debbie will probably be too busy to take you on their boat for a tour of the lake, but you can still get on the water. Choose from a variety of boat tours around the lake and wave to the crazy friends and family that decided it would be better to walk around the lake rather than be driven on a boat.

Geneva National Golf Courses

Geneva National Golf Courses

1221 Geneva National Avenue South, Lake Geneva, WI 53147

Looking to sneak in a round of golf in during the weekend? Choose from 3 different courses at Geneva National, featuring 54 holes of Legendary Golf designed by the masters, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino. If you play on Friday or Saturday morning you can get a sneak-peek at the wedding venue (and keep an eye out of the Father of the Bride...)

Grand Geneva Golf Courses

Grand Geneva Golf Courses

7036 Grand Geneva Way, Lake Geneva, WI 53147

Want to play even more golf during the weekend, or looking for an alternative to Geneva National? Check out the two distinct 18-hole courses at the Grand Geneva. Grip it and rip it on the Brute Course and take advantage of the wide fairways. Play a game of cat and mouse on the Scottish-inspired Highlands course.

Walk & Shop Downtown

Walk & Shop Downtown

Don't let a hangover and sore feet from dancing all night be your only souvenirs from the weekend. Explore downtown Lake Geneva's unique shops and restaurants while you're in town. Christina recommends starting with an iced coffee at a quaint coffee shop on Center Street called Starbucks.

Yerkes Observatory

Yerkes Observatory

373 West Geneva Street, Williams Bay, WI 53191

Stroll the lush grounds designed by the Olmsted family who created Central Park, the U.S. Capitol grounds, and so much more. Take a tour through the Beaux Arts and Romanesque architectural masterpiece. Follow in the footsteps of astronomical greats like Edwin Hubble, Nancy Grace Roman, Gerard Kuiper, Mary Calvert, E.E. Barnard, Richard Kron, and Carl Sagan. Size up the Great Refractor telescope, all 63 feet and 12,000 pounds of it
