Petoskey State Park

Petoskey State Park, MI 49740

Petoskey falls on the shores of Lake Michigan which is a perfect place to spend a day in August. The shore offers a large beach and offers the opportunity to search for Petoskey Stones (fossilized coral) that washes up on the shore.

Mackinaw City

Mackinaw City, MI 49701

Visit Mackinaw City and see the Mackinac Bridge. The Mackinac Bridge expands from the Upper Peninsula to the Lower across where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron converge. It is longer than the Golden Gate Bridge and in my opinion more majestic. The favorite local place to eat in Mackinaw is the Key Hole which has a great whitefish sand which. If you are feeling adventures take the ferry to Mackinaw Island and visit for a day. the island only has horse and bike transportation and you can rent either to tour the island. Please schedule tours ahead of time with on the the outfits on the island.
