Waikiki
Waikiki has a lot of things to offer. Try fresh poke bowls at Maguro Brothers. Get good coffee from Kona Coffee (at International Market Place) and pair it with their Guava Kouign Amann. Lounge or surf at Waikiki Beach. Have Mai Tais at the Royal Hawaiian, where it was first created. Finish off at Sky Bar when the sun has set to have an overlooking view of Waikiki.
Pearl Harbor Historic Sites Visitor Center
Learn the history of Pearl Harbor and its significance in WWII. Accessible with ubers. Tickets to Arizona can be booked ahead ($5/person). Not all exhibits are free.
Lanikai Beach
Lanikai Beach in Hawaii is renowned for its breathtaking beauty, often considered one of the most picturesque beaches in the world. The sand in this beach is powdery and the water is turquoise. The iconic twin Mokulua Islands can be spotted offshore. Lanikai is relatively secluded and offers excellent conditions for swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling. You can explore Kailua when you visit Lanikai.
Koko Head Trail
We went here on Tina's second trip back to Hawaii. This provides a panoramic view of Honolulu including Hanauma Bay. This is can be a hard trail with trail length of 2.6 km. with 1 hr. and 25 min. average hike time out and back. We suggest hiking this trail early in the morning or at sunset. The heat can make this trail more difficult.
