Our Story
Christina's Proposal
Mineral Point, WI
On what she thought was a normal Saturday, Pachia was on her way from Dubuque to visit some friends for lunch in Madison. She was (begrudgingly!) making a pit stop at the winery where they had their first date because Christina asked her to pick up a bottle of wine for their anniversary coming up in a few weeks. Pachia was already running late and NOT happy about the extra stop she was asked to make. Christina was waiting for Pachia's arrival, nervous and sweating. When Pachia walked in to pick up an online order, she was surprised to find Christina was there instead of the bottle of wine she was supposed to be picking up. They were surrounded by pictures of their favorite memories and their song was playing over the speaker. It's safe to say Pachia was very surprised. After her short speech, Christina got down on one knee and asked Pachia to marry her. Pachia said yes! They spent the afternoon at the winery, reminiscing about their first date and so many memories made since that first day in Mineral Point. To top off the day, they ordered take-out from another place they went on their first date and spent the night in a quaint hotel, soaking in their newly engaged status.
Pachia's Proposal
Lost Lake, Oregon
After months of planning, Pachia and Christina flew to Portland, Oregon for a friend's wedding and a camping trip. One day of their camping trip Pachia and Christina headed out for a hike near their campsite. When they got to the top, there was a stunning view of Mount Hood and a handful of teenagers well, being teenagers. Pachia was determined to wait them out to get the best shot possible. This was typical of Pachia and it was especially not surprising for Christina because they had driven all over Portland a few days earlier to find a tripod because Pachia forgot hers at home. Finally the teenagers began their descent and Pachia claimed her spot, setting up the tripod and positioning Christina in view of the camera. After starting a video instead of a timer for a photo, Pachia ran into the view of the camera and pulled out her handwritten note. Christina knew instantly what was going on and was utterly surprised, trying to desperately figure out how Pachia pulled this feat off. After reading her note aloud, Pachia got down on one knee and asked Christina to marry her. Christina said yes and the two were *officially* engaged!
