Michael & Christina met through a mutual friend on a treasure hunt - geocaching in San Luis Obispo. Christina tricked Michael into giving her his phone number when she asked him to take a picture of her first geocache.

During a vacation in the Keys, Michael and Christina were getting their shipwreck diving advanced certification. During their last dive before completing the course, they dove on the Benwood (https://floridakeys.noaa.gov/shipwrecktrail/benwood.html) and Michael proposed to Christina entirely in pun using an underwater slate. He even got down on one knee (which is much harder underwater!)
