We're Getting Married

It's your classic love story but with a modern twist. Joe and Christina grew up ten minutes apart from each other in the Ohio Valley. Their whole lives they lived across the river from one another but they did not know each other. It took moving away to meet someone from home. One day Christina was at her parents house and she came across Joe’s Facebook. She thought he was handsome, so she made the bold move of sending him a friend request on Facebook and Instagram. A few weeks later on Christina's 24th birthday, she checked her Instagram messages and Joe had wished her a happy birthday. Christina was so excited to see that message and the two exchanged numbers. During this time it was the middle of the pandemic. The two texted each other for a couple months, but they never met up because Joe was living in Columbus while Christina was living in Weirton. Eventually they both stopped texting each other, but a few months later in September of 2020 fate started to work its magic. After seeing that Christina moved to Columbus, Joe reached back out and asked her to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. The moment Joe saw Christina for the first time he thought she looked “absolutely beautiful.” The two shared a pitcher of margaritas together and talked all night. After the date Christina told her girl friends, “That is going to be the last first date I go on. I’m going to marry that man.” Many dates later, on November 27th 2020, the two were back in the Ohio Valley visiting family for Thanksgiving and decided to go for a long walk on the Panhandle Trail. At the end of their walk, Joe asked Christina to be his girlfriend. Throughout the next few years Joe and Christina became inseparable. Their love grew deeper, and if home was a person, they would say it is each other. Being together felt like home. In July 2023, they were on the annual Conforti Family Virginia Beach vacation. Little did Christina know that Joe had been making plans to propose to her on the trip. He knew it had to be special and with the help of his family and her family secretly working together, they were able to pull it off. On July 11th 2023, the two were taking a photo together on the beach. As Christina started to walk away, Joseph asked for one more photo, got down on one knee and said the words Christina had been waiting her whole life to hear. Excitement from her family filled the air and everyone was emotional. In the blink of an eye the two went from going on their first date to now getting married. Joe and Christina are so excited to soon be husband and wife. Their love story is one that was written by God because they were perfectly created to be together.
