John and Christina met while working at TSA together. Eventually, John was placed on Christina's team, which is when they began to get to know one another. During this time, they both lost a dear friend, and through this tragedy, an unexpected friendship between the two of them developed. Their friendship lead to conversations over drinks, drinks lead to dates, and the dates just never ended.

The two planned a trip to Disneyland, the most magical place in the world! The first day there, Christina spotted another couple getting engaged. Her first comment, "What a dream to be engaged at Disneyland!" Little did she know what John had in store for her. They spent the week enjoying the magical Christmas festivities Disneyland had to offer. Towards the end of the week, the two had reservations at Blue Bayou, their favorite restaurant in Disneyland, specifically because you can hear the screams of guests riding down the fall on the Pirates of the Caribbean. John, being secretive and not telling a single soul about the surprise he had planned, ordered dessert and asked for a candle and lighter as Christina left the table. Once Christina returned, John had the dessert out with the candle lit and told her to make a wish of the one thing that would make her the happiest. So, she closed her eyes, made her wish, opened her eyes again, and there was John, down on one knee, ring in hand, tears in his eyes and asked the love of his life to marry him. "Best dessert ever!"
