Cathedral of Learning
Take a look into our time at the University of Pittsburgh and walk through the Cathedral of Learning either before or after the ceremony. You will not be able to miss it, but it is directly next to Heinz Chapel. It is a landmark listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the 535-foot-tall Cathedral is the second-tallest educational building in the world after the University of Moscow’s main building. (And yes, we had classes in there!)
Puttshack - Pittsburgh
We love going here with friends and family! It is an upscale, tech-infused mini golf experience that combines interactive gameplay with a bar and restaurant setting.
Iron Born Pizza & Pasta | Strip District
Check out our favorite pizza in Pittsburgh located in the heart of the Strip District. It is a delicious Detroit-style! We recommend the red pie and buffalo chicken pie. If you are extra hungry, go for chicken wings in their sweet n' tangy sauce!
Noodlehead
If you are in the mood for some Thai-inspired street food, this is the spot! We recommend starting with the pork belly steamed buns and street noodle 1 for an entree! It's also BYOB!
Condado Tacos
Feeling some tacos and a margarita? This is the place to be! There are a few locations in the Pittsburgh area. We recommend starting with the three buds (one should be the dirty queso), Lucy's fire taco, and the sweet heat taco.
Gaucho Parrilla Argentina
If you are looking for a more upscale dinner experience, here's our rec! Gaucho Parrilla Argentina is a wood-fired Argentinian grill in Pittsburgh, known for its authentic, fire-kissed meats, flavorful chimichurris, empanadas, and a relaxed atmosphere. We recommend the empanadas, the carne sandwich, or a steak with papas caseras. If the butternut squash is on the menu, it's a must!
Dave & Andy's Homemade Ice Cream
Our absolute favorite ice cream in Pittsburgh! They have the most delicious seasonal flavors. Get the waffle cone, trust us! (Not too mention... kind of ironic that it is the name of my mom's brothers!)
Pamela's Diner
Our favorite breakfast spot in Pittsburgh! There are multiple locations throughout the city. We highly recommend Pamela's famous crepe-style hotcakes and the famous lyonnaise potatoes.
