Jayson and Christina’s story is one only God could write. They met at Reach Church, a place that would quietly become the foundation of their relationship. Christina had already been attending Reach for a few years when Jayson began going in Spring 2024. From the start, Jayson noticed Christina’s poise, her calm confidence, and her effortless beauty, though neither of them yet knew what God was preparing. They began noticing each other more while serving in Youth Ministries. Christina often spotted Jayson across the sanctuary, leading the Royal Rangers, while she sat nearby with the Prims Club. They also attended Thrive Young Adults together. Jayson had a habit that soon became meaningful. He would say goodbye to everyone else, but to Christina he always said, “We’ll talk soon.” It was not a goodbye. It was a gentle way of saying he wanted to talk to her more. After some months, one Sunday morning the Lord made His will known. Christina felt the Lord speaking to her, assuring her that something very good was going to happen that day. She went through the morning with a quiet sense of expectation. What unfolded exceeded anything she imagined. While Christina was serving in the café at Reach, Jayson saw a clear green light shine over her as she worked. In that moment, he knew God was telling him it was time to let her know how he felt. Acting in faith, he asked her out for ramen. The following week, they sat together in the Reach café after service and talked for nearly three hours. They shared stories, laughter, and began getting to know each other in a deeper way. The conversation flowed effortlessly and marked the beginning of something special. In February 2025, Jayson asked Christina to be his girlfriend and their journey officially began. Their relationship continued to grow, rooted in faith, service, and trust in God’s timing. Jayson proposed to Christina this past Fall on top of a mountain in Cold Spring, NY, surrounded by crisp air, breathtaking views, and the presence of God. She said yes. Rooted in faith, service, and God’s perfect timing, their love story is a reflection of His faithfulness, and they are beyond excited to begin their life together.
