Wedding Party

Love, which is almost impossible to define or explain, is the tissue of the thread that binds and weaves human interactions and mutual living. When life gets hard and starts to grip away from our control, the kind words of our family and friends that calms our soul and give us the strength and courage to take on life head-on. For these reasons, we are happy to introduce the members of our wedding party who will help keep the knit of our union in tact.
The African "Adinkra" symbol we chose to represent our marriage, "Kete Pa" means 'good bed’ and the symbol is believed to represent a good marriage. This symbol features several horizontal and vertical lines, placed across each other, resembling a square, woven mat. We plan to honor our ancestors by infusing African traditions in a symbolic way to pay homage to our enslaved peoples by honoring those who did it before us.
