We’re getting married!!

I wanted to make the proposal extra special, so I decided I was going to be the one to pop the question to Hashim. Since he loves hockey — especially the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Detroit Red Wings — I got him tickets to a Red Wings vs Tampa Bay game for his birthday. What he didn’t know was that I had a little surprise planned. During the first intermission, I arranged for a message to pop up on the Jumbotron. When the break finally came, he tried to go to the bathroom, and Mark and I were like, “Nope, you’re staying put!” I told him, “It’s my first hockey game — I want to see what happens during intermission!” Then the birthday messages started rolling on the big screen, and he was convinced one was for him. At the end, my proposal message popped up — and the look on his face was priceless. He turned to me and said, “Where’s my ring?” I pulled it out, and he said yes! The Red Wings lost big that night… but my Hashim definitely scored the biggest win of all! 🏒💍❤️
