National Museum of Anthropology: one of both of our favorite museums in the world

Chapultapec Park & Castle: great for a long walk/hike

Pujol: A truly special tasting menu dinner, considered one of the best restaurants in the world

Centro Historico/Zocalo: the historic city center packed with museums, historic buildings, and people

Late Night Taco Tour: This was a wonderful way to learn about the culture, history, and cuisine by a local while enjoying some amazing tacos.

Cocktail Bars: Mexico City is home to 3 of the worlds top 50 cocktail bars and mezcal. We loved Baltra Bar and Fifty Mils, but some others on the list are Handshake Speakeasy and Hanky Panky.

Fine Dining: Quintonil and Maximo Bistrot are two more of the world's 50 best restaurants. Others include Rosetta, Nudo Negra, and Azul Condesa

Contramar: a spectacular seafood restaurant in the heart of Roma Norte, we recommend the tuna tostadas.

Neighborhoods: We loved wandering the tree lined streets of La Condesa and Roma Norte. They were very safe and easy to navigate.

Frida Kahlo Museum & Coyoacan: Just a short uber from the downtown for a quieter neighborhood with museums, shopping, culture and charm.

Things to do that are just a short trip outside of the city include the Canals and floating gardens of Xochimilco and the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacan
