We're Getting Married!

We met through our mutual friend, Yolanda Purnell-Parker. Corjuan and Yolanda worked together at Security Plus Credit Union for 7 years. During that time they became not only co-workers but good friends. Christina and Yolanda have been best friends for over 20 years. Corjuan went through a painful divorce in 2018. Christina's first husband died from cancer in 2018. Yolanda was observing the trials and grief we were both experiencing at the same time. She remained supportive and encouraged both of us on our different journeys. In April 2022, Yolanda thought that we were both ready to explore love and companionship again. As a result, she introduced us and we spoke on the phone. Our first phone conversation lasted for 3 hours! From that point on, we talked everyday and had our first date about a month later. Our relationship began as a friendship and slowly evolved into a romantic relationship. The rest is history! In the words of Christina's grandmother Mary, it was all a part of God's master plan. We are both very grateful to God for not only restoring our hearts so that we could love again, but for intervening and orchestrating our meeting.
