We met when he was the manager for Murky Waters Blues and BBQ. He had hired my roommate at the time and later asked her if I was looking for a new job. I came in for an "interview" and he basically just asked when I could start. There was an instant connection from the beginning although it took us awhile to go from friends to lovers.
This was a long time coming. Again, as it has from the very beginning, it takes us awhile to take the next step. There were delays, especially with Covid, but he finally treated me to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Mary Mahoney's, in Biloxi. It was the place my dad proposed to my late mama. He waited until we were leaving the restaurant and just as I stepped outside of the courtyard and given up hope of it finally happening that night, there was my family and his sister waiting and him getting on one knee to give me his late grandmother's ring. It all couldn't be more meaningful.
You'll now learn we have opted for a small, intimate wedding outside of city limits on Christina's family farm that we have the pleasure of visiting every year. Please don't be discouraged if you do not receive an invitation. We promise it's not that you're not important to us! We just want our day to be as laid back and stress-free as possible and to be able to remember all the small details instead of all the faces. We hope you understand and to see you at a reception of some kind in the future!
