FAQs

If you have any other questions than what is listed here, please reach out to us or our families. We will be happy to answer any questions you have!
Question

Can we take photos and/or videos?

Answer

At the ceremony - absolutely not! Keep your phones and cameras in your pocket for the ceremony. We have hired amazingly talented photographers and videographers to capture our wedding day and this will allow them to do so. Do NOT be the person with their cellphone out while the Bride and her father are walking down the aisle - let's be honest, you don't want the wrath of the Bride and your cellphone pictures will never be as good as our professional photographer's. During the reception, pull out those phones, take all the pictures and don't forget to use our hashtag!

Question

What precautions are you taking for COVID-19?

Answer

We continue to monitor New Orleans restrictions. The guest count and event restrictions are changing frequently here. If we have to make the unfortunate decision to downsize and host a smaller wedding, we will let everyone know as soon as possible. If a downsize occurs, we will share a password-protected link for a virtual ceremony! We understand that COVID-19 is a very real threat to many. If you are uncomfortable attending due to COVID-19, we understand immensely and know you will be celebrating with us from afar! We hope you will be comfortable and will have masks and hand sanitizers available. As the city restrictions are changing constantly, we continue to monitor the situation and are changing our plans accordingly.

Question

Do I have to wear a mask?

Answer

Mask-wearing will be up to each guest and their comfortability levels. We will have some masks and hand sanitizer for you to use at your convenience. Blake and I will not be wearing masks, but we have had our vaccinations and will take a COVID test the night before.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unless your invitation reads "and guest" or specifies your date's name, the answer is no. Due to COVID, we have to limit the number of guests to keep the health and safety of our family and friends our top priority.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal or cocktail attire, please. We ask that you dress up, but still remain comfortable. Tuxes and long, formal dresses are not required; however, a nice suit or dress is preferred.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love ALL of your children; however, we have made this an adults-only celebration. Think of it as a date night for you and your loved one! We hope you understand!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 1st.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding starts promptly at 5 PM. Doors to be seated open at 4:30 PM. Between the ceremony and reception, there will be time in between to explore the historic site where we will be getting married!
