We highly recommend renting a car and visiting Cannon Beach (pictured above) if you have time. It's roughly 90 minutes outside of Portland, and home to the iconic Haystack Rock. It holds a special place in our hearts, serving as a focal point of our relationship and is the very spot where we got engaged.

Portland was coined the Rose City for a reason. This is a classic Portland stop with thousands of roses overlooking the city. It’s free, easy to wander, and at its best from late spring through early fall. The terraces are filled with color and fragrance, and the views of downtown and the hills make it a great quick visit or photo stop.
A calm, beautifully designed escape in the middle of the city. Manicured paths, koi ponds, and sweeping views of downtown make it one of Portland’s most peaceful spots. It’s an easy place to slow down, wander quietly, and take in some of the best garden design outside Japan.
