How can we get to Thessaloniki?

Thessaloniki's airport is Macedonia Airport, SKG. There are various flights to Thessaloniki through Europe or Athens. Please note that flights coming from the US to Greece typically land one day after take off. Therefore, if you plan to arrive on June 3rd, make sure to take off on June 2nd. How can I get a cab in Thessaloniki?

Answer

There are approximately 2000 taxis in Thessaloniki with 24h service taxi ranks in many city spots and in many departure ones like the Airport, the Train Station, the Macedonia Intercity Station and the Port. Thessaloniki’s taxis are blue in color, with white top. While some cabs are accepting credit cards, several of them refuse them, so make sure you have a little bit of cash on hand. With Beat you can request a taxi without any extra charge, at the tap of a button. The average waiting time for a Beat is less than 3 minutes and you can add your credit card to pay for your rides. It is very similar with the Uber app.
