Mystic Aquarium
Mystic Aquarium is one of our favorite places in Mystic, and it’s extra special to us because it was the setting for one of our first dates. The highlight for us then (and still today) are the beluga whales. Watching them glide through the water is unforgettable—playful, graceful, and full of personality. If you have time during your trip, we highly recommend a visit. Seeing the belugas up close is truly magical, and it’s one of the reasons this place will always hold a special place in our story.
Downtown Mystic Shops
I fell in love with Mystic—not just for its coastal charm, but for the way it feels both historic and alive. Mystic has been the backdrop to some of our earliest memories together, from strolling along the waterfront to visiting the belugas at the aquarium. It’s a place where cobblestone streets, local shops, and great food meet the beauty of the sea. Every visit reminds us why we chose Mystic as the setting to celebrate this new chapter in our lives. Niantic Boardwalk
This charming boardwalk runs 1.1 miles along the waters of Long Island Sound, between Cini Park and Hole-in-the-Wall Beach. It’s not just beautiful; it’s sentimental to us because Alex spent much of his childhood here. Strolls along the water, shopping in the village, catching the sunset—these are everyday moments here that feel special. We hope you’ll take some time to wander the boardwalk, grab a bite in Niantic, and enjoy the peaceful seaside views.
