Julia is fun-loving, smart, and incredibly kind. Christina fell in love with Julia as they decorated the Nicholson home for Christmas 2024. It was in that same house that Christina proposed to Julia, only a few weeks shy of their 1-year anniversary.

Julia’s Matron of Honor Julia found Taylor by chance when she needed someone to take care of her beloved chocolate lab, Charlie while she attended a work lunch. She stumbled across an ad for the Fort Worth Pet Butler, and through several dog walks, meetups at Mutts Canine Cantina, birthday sushi dinners, and shared silly internet memes, she and Taylor became best friends.

Julia’s Bridesmaid Since saying “no” to being Julia’s bridesmaid would mean another hole-punch on Leah’s free ice cream card, the fact that she said “yes” means a lot. Leah is an indispensable part of the First Pres Young Adult group where she became friends with both Julia and Christina. While she may no longer be a Fort Worth resident, no distance can keep her from being a part of our big day.

For the first year of Christina’s life, Sarah was right there, protecting and loving like a good big sister does. As Christina got older, Sarah became the big sister she never knew she needed.

Julia’s Bridesmaid Lauren’s laugh is infectious as is her kind heart. Also a part of the First Pres Young Adults, Lauren and Julia became friends through multiple Bible study dinners, church retreats, and group social events, including Lauren’s hosted pool parties. Lauren is the kind of friend you can depend on no matter what, and Julia knew she could depend on her to be there on her big day.

Christina’s Bridesmaid When Christina joined the Young Adults group at First Presbyterian Church, Cheryl was right there to welcome her with open arms. Full of advice, both sisterly and religiously, Cheryl took Christina under her wing. Christina will forever apologize for making Cheryl a third wheel on the drive to Mo Ranch in 2024, but she wouldn’t want anyone else to be there to watch Christina and Julia fall in love.

Julia’s Bridesmaid Kara and Julia’s friendship spans well over a decade, when they first met at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. When Kara moved to Julia’s hometown of Fort Worth after graduating physical therapy school, their friendship continued. Kara has been there for Julia’s major achievements: graduating law school and passing the Bar exam, so of course she wouldn’t miss Julia’s wedding for the world.

Christina’s Bridesmaid Alyssa may be Christina’s boss, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t the best of friends. Alyssa watched how helpless Christina was in finding love, until witnessing the train wreck that ensued after the all church retreat to Mo Ranch. Christina was in Alyssa’s office (regrettably attached to Christina’s classroom) everyday for weeks before Christina and Julia finally began dating.

Julia’s Bridesmaid Laura and Julia both joined First Presbyterian Church roughly around the same time, and would become friends shortly thereafter through Young Adults. They are both true introverts, keen to sit back and watch social situations unfold. Laura is extremely intuitive, and is credited for calling Julia and Christina’s relationship before it even began.

Christina’s Junior Bridesmaid Christina met Callie through her mother, Alyssa Martin, and found a place in Christina’s heart. She was in Christina’s first solo-class, the EEC Summer Program 3rd-6th Grade, and has played a major role in Christina deciding to continue striving to become an elementary school teacher. She has an infectious smile that will be hard to miss as she walks down the aisle.

Julia’s Bridesmaid As one of the more recent joiners of the First Pres Young Adults, Alaina bonded with Julia quickly over their shared love of animals, Asian cuisine, and the video game Animal Crossing. Alaina is a calming presence and is one of the kindest, most empathetic people you will meet.

The first adopted niece of Christina and Julia, and the one who witnessed their engagement in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. She is full of sass and bursting with energy. As one of Ms. Chris’ first students she marks a very special full circle moment for the couple.

A former student of Christina’s and now an adopted niece. She lit up, happy as can be, after learning that ‘Ms. Chris’ was going to become a Bradley too.
Emma Chavez

This sweet girl met Christina and Julia as a baby, and as yet another adopted niece, she makes her spot in their little family known. Tia Julia and Tia Chris can’t wait to see her shine in life, and as she toddles down the runway in true Emma fashion.

Anna is the youngest of three, and her older brothers happen to have been students in Christina’s pre-k class. Anna brings the sass and spice, and as a future student of ‘Ms. Chris’, she marks an end to the Wharry presence in Christina’s classroom.
Davison Bradley
Ring Bearer
Christina’s Ring Bearer Davison met Christina as Magnolia’s teacher, and sure enough they happened to bond over games, musicals, books, and language. Christina became the Bradley babysitter, and sure enough, the whole Bradley bunch adopted Christina as one of their own. Davison wished to wear an actual ‘bear’ costume to present the rings, but he’ll settle for a teddy bear accent on his suit.

Ring Bearer
Julia’s Ring Bearer While as uncommon it is to have two ring bearers, Julia and Christina can never be common. Oliver is like a mini-Julia; smart, athletic, and filled with surprises. When he learned that Julia and Christina were planning to get married, he was the first to offer to be a ring bearer, after all he already had a suit. However he’d last worn that suit when he was 5. Now a few years older, and wearing a new suit, he’s ready to go.
