"YOU MET ONLINE?!" šŸ¤”

Christina's Perspective:

Did you know that more than a third of new marriages start online? A lot of us love technology, and for good reason, it makes our lives easier, connects us with friends near and far and entertains us to no end. We are grateful that over the years, any stigma of saying, ā€œwe met onlineā€ has evaporated, otherwise, we’re not sure we would have met, and you would not be reading about the "how" right now. Jay contacted me first, his profile was one that stood out to me the first day browsing through ZOOKs. I was immediately attracted to his pictures because of his smile and dimples and although I kept going back to him, I was too chicken to reach out. Much to my surprise, he reached out to me the next day! We messaged each other for a while until we got comfortable enough to exchange numbers and talked for the rest of the week over text message. I went away that weekend for a friend’s birthday getaway, but we stayed connected throughout my trip and decided to meet up the Sunday I returned. We went to see ā€œBlack Pantherā€ for our first date and kicked it off from there!

YES, WE MET ONLINE! 😊

Jay's perspective:

While looking through profiles I came across the sweetest face and was captovated by her beauty. I feared that if I reached out she would not be interested due to our gap in age, but I couldn't hold the urge to reaspond immidiately. Much to my surprise, she reasponded, I was so shocked I literally stopped in my tracks. We messaged and talked for about a week getting to know each other more and more through each communication. After much anticipation, we went out on our first date and then a second. If the second date didn't show her how much I was into her, I don't know what would have. She advised me many times not to come down to Providence, like we had planned, due to a snowstorm, but I didn't want to hear it. I was looking forward to seeing her and was determinded to make it out there. I decided not to drive, but instead took an Uber from MA to Providence, a ride that takes 1 hour, took 2 and I've never regretted it.
