* The day was Saturday, 8/13/2022. My twin sister, Amie, & I had gone to the Nevada County Fair with some of our best friends, Sonia & her wife Narissa. It was twilight and we found ourselves at the Beer Garden, talking to some friends we happened to run into, when a random guy walked up and said hi to Sonia. Sonia introduced us and he was nice but I didn’t think much about it. Little did I know how much that one moment would shape our lives <3 * Through the darkness, I noticed all the tattoos on David’s left arm, which mostly portrays a fierce dragon. I complimented him on the artistry and he was quick to point out that it was a reference to Dungeons & Dragons and that he was a complete nerd lol! I loved it! :D After David left, Sonia mentioned the spark that she recognized between us but I was sure it wasn’t anything so I brushed it off and didn’t think any more of it other than the fact that I’d met a genuinely nice person. * The next day, I got David’s phone number from Sonia and texted David about possibly doing a one-shot D&D campaign with the girls. With my most recent dating experience, I didn’t think he’d even get back to me so it surprised me no end when he responded immediately. He was enthusiastic about hosting a D&D party for us. But it ended up being the rest of the conversation that was truly important. We ended up talking all day about everything: travel, food, movies, etc. It was such a wonderful conversation, especially because it was bursting with humor and honesty :D * We both had important events coming up so we didn’t really talk for the next week or so, though he crept into my thoughts here and there. Then David texted me about how my events went and ended the conversation by asking me if I wanted to have a “frothy beverage” at a local brewery with him. I found it to be the most charming and downright adorable line I’d ever heard so, of course, I said yes :D 8/27/2022 marked our first date and it was incredible! :D From that moment on, we never stopped talking about anything & everything <3 * Our relationship grew stronger with every day that passed. We loved just existing together <3 We enjoyed all the new experiences together, celebrated all the good times together, and stood together through all the storms of life. Every moment was perfectly us, without the hindrance of dating games or insecure gimmicks. And with every bit of support and honesty and fun, our love grew until we knew, without a shadow of doubt, that we were meant to be together. * And now we find ourselves on the precipice of a new chapter, an amazing new adventure to embark on, and we couldn’t be more excited! :D We couldn’t say “I Do” without all of you, the most important people in our lives, so Thank You from the bottom of our hearts for being there for us and celebrating our special day with us! <3
