It all started in 8th grade when I met my future husband, Adrian. We were in the same science class, and he used to throw pencils at me to get my attention. I didn't know what to make of it at first, but I soon realized that he was trying to get me to notice him. It wasn't until the summer before our senior year that we started dating. We spent a lot of time together, getting to know each other better, and falling in love. After graduation, I decided I wanted to be a PA and spent the next 6 years finishing undergrad and getting my masters, all whilst Adrian built his business from the ground up. It wasn't easy, but we made it work. When I finally graduated, we made the decision to move in together. But before we did, Adrian proposed in front of the Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas. It was the perfect proposal, and I couldn't have been happier! We still love eating wings and watching UFC fights on the weekends, going to church on Sundays, and sippin' on wine while he smokes cigars. Adrian may still have two left feet, but he's determined to learn salsa. And speaking of salsa, I still need to learn how to make his mom's homemade salsa before we move in together. Now, as we prepare to start this new chapter of our lives together, I can't help but look back on our journey and smile. From pencils being thrown to a Vegas proposal, it's been a wild ride. But I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. We've supported each other's dreams and celebrated each other's accomplishments. We've learned to navigate life's challenges with grace and understanding. As we sit together reminiscing about the past, we know that our journey is far from over. There will be more challenges to face, more ups and downs, but we're ready for whatever life throws our way. With each other by our side, there's nothing we can't overcome. After all, we're high school sweethearts, and our love story is just beginning.
