We're getting married!

We met in college (go Dukes!) and went from strangers to friends pretty quickly. After graduation, life pulled us in different directions. Mel stayed in Philly to work as an RN. Pete made flawless spreadsheets as a tech consultant in DC. We did lose touch for a bit, but when Pete moved back to Philly (go Birds!) in 2022 our friendship picked up right where it left off. We started spending more time together, bonding over bad dating app stories, going to stand up comedy shows, frequenting our favorite spot (The Twisted Tail) and most importantly, we laughed A LOT. We realized what we had was more than just a friendship. After a little time and some honest conversations, we finally said what had been there for a while: we were in love. We feel really lucky that our easy friendship grew into something more, and even luckier that we get to spend our lives together. We can’t wait to celebrate that with you!
