During the uncertainty of the COVID-19 lockdown fate had its own plans for us. We met on Hinge, a spark igniting through messages that made us forget the chaos of the world for a while. As our conversations deepened we decided to take a chance on each other, meeting for the first time at Anderson’s Ice Cream. That first date, filled with sweet scoops and nervous laughter, felt like a breath of fresh air in an otherwise heavy time. From there our connection only grew. One of our most memorable moments came after a kayaking trip, where the sun left its mark with a particularly bad sunburn, courtesy of Matthew’s terrible sense of direction. Despite the discomfort it was a day full of laughter and adventure. The next day, after unknowingly introducing Christie to the entire family, he looked at her with all the warmth in the world and asked if she would be his girlfriend. We couldn’t help but smile, knowing this was the start of something truly special. Fast forward to New Year’s Eve at Lake George, our happy place, where the air was crisp and the world seemed to pause for us. As the year was about to turn, he got down on one knee and asked Christie to marry him. It was the perfect way to start a new chapter together surrounded by the beauty of the lake and the love we had built. Our story is one of finding light in dark times, building memories from the simplest moments, and choosing each other every step of the way. Our home is filled with laughter fostering an environment that’s full of joy. The light each other brings creates something truly magical every day. We look forward to the start of our next chapter and we’re excited to share it with each and every one of you!
