Our love story began in October 2015 during an Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild hockey game. We were sitting next to each other and talked the whole game. Christie's friend insisted there was some flirtatious banter happening. During the game Keith learned that Christie had only lived in Arizona for six months and did not know many people yet. He invited her to meet him and a friend at a taco festival two days later. About a week and a half later we had our first official date where we went out for barbecue followed by some fun at Dave and Busters. The rest is history!

Keith proposed after about two and a half years of making amazing memories together. He planned the proposal for Saint Patrick's Day 2017 for several reasons. One, we were going to watch the Arizona Coyotes play the Minnesota Wild that night, which is symbolic of the day we met. His sister would be able to be there for the proposal since she always comes down for a week to visit during that time. Not to mention, we love celebrating Saint Patrick's Day every year and being all festive. Everyone knew the proposal was happening months in advance, except for Christie. She had no idea the proposal was coming. A group of us were going to the hockey game that night and we all gathered at our house prior to heading out for the game. Keith's friend Amy pretended like we were all going to start taking pictures in our Saint Patrick's Day outfits but then handed Christie a piece of paper with a clue on it. Amy started recording Christie as she read her first clue and realized it was a scavenger hunt. After reading all the clues, Keith was in the backyard waiting on his knees to propose. Of course, she said yes! Although Christie did not know the proposal was coming, she too planned something special for Keith on the proposal day. Christie and Keith go to many hockey games. Keith's dream was to ride on the Zamboni. He even jokingly told Christie a few months after they started dating that he would propose if she got him on the Zamboni. So two years later Christie got Keith a Zamboni ride for Valentine's Day 2017. The game she scheduled it for was the March 17 Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild game. Little did she know while buying the Zamboni ride that Keith was going to propose that same day.
