Have you ever heard of The Invisible String Theory? It’s the idea that certain people are destined to meet—no matter the time, place, or circumstances—because they’re connected by an invisible string. That perfectly describes Brandon and Christie’s story. It all began years ago, when Christie was in elementary school and would often get dropped off at her friend Andrea’s house. Christie spent countless days in Andrea’s neighborhood—running around, swimming in the pool, and playing video games. As the they grew older, Andrea would occasionally mention a boy who lived in her neighborhood and went to their same high school, but they never thought much of it. And who did that boy end up being? Brandon. In high school, both Christie and Brandon attended Stoneman Douglas. Brandon graduated in 2012 and Christie in 2014. Christie played volleyball, while Brandon played baseball. Whenever there were home games, the baseball team would come out to support the volleyball girls. Little did they know that Brandon was sitting in the stands, unknowingly watching his future wife play. After high school, Brandon went on to study business at FGCU, while Christie attended FAU. Brandon graduated in 2016 and moved back home, while Christie began her internships toward her Exercise Science Degree. During one of those internships—at a gym in Coconut Creek—Christie met Brandon’s best friend, Zack. One day, Zack stopped by the gym with a friend, and that friend just happened to be—Brandon. At the same time, Brandon was working at a luxury condo in Boca Raton with his friend Ryan. One day, Ryan mentioned a girl he thought Brandon would like and showed him her Instagram. And whose profile did he show him? Christie’s. After realizing who Christie was, he decided to send her a message—and that’s when everything began to fall into place. Their first date was supposed to be dinner and a movie at Mizner Park, but they couldn’t wait that long to meet. Instead, they went to a Florida Panthers hockey game, and from that day January 5, 2019, they’ve been inseparable ever since. Fast forward to September 20, 2024—Brandon proposed to Christie at The Breakers, and now, they’re getting ready to say “I do” on February 7, 2026.
