Our story began back in the early 80's at Valley Elementary school, in Pelham AL. Brady and I went to the same schools together, had close mutual friends in middle school and in high school. Even grew up in the same neighborhood. Brady was the one to drive me home from a late party if I needed a ride. Or to a payphone, yes pay phone, to call home if the night got too late. Give me the hug I needed like an older brother would. Or make me laugh so hard I would have to forget my problems. As we grew up, we went separate directions and took different paths, although very similar ones. As we talked again in our older years and shared our pasts we found a lot of comfort in the similarities. After a few months of texting, facetime dinner dates and late-night conversations, Brady asked me to meet him in person. I told him no at first, the distance between us would be too far and that it just wouldn't work. He persisted until I finally said yes. We met each other in Panama City beach on October 11th, 2024. It was the best day of both our lives! The younger kids in us came alive from times we shared together in our high school days. It was as if we picked up where we left off. We enjoyed every second together and have never looked back since! Our planning began quickly of how to make the 6 hour drive work between us. And it started working effortlessly. The love we found in each other grew bigger than any love we had ever known before. On September 5th, 2025, Brady proposed to me. Our wedding day has been our biggest most sacred goal. As we both have gone through full annulment processes to get to this very day. To have our marriage blessed in the holy catholic church was our wish from the start. Brady entered into the catholic faith in April of 2025. The way I watched his heart grow in the faith and how touched he was to be a part of the mass was very moving. Our dreams we have been chasing our entire lives are now right in front of us. We found happiness and true love in each other and feel the blessings daily! Who knew? We knew God had a plan but never imagined it could be so big. As Brady would always remind me to just be patient, things will present themselves to us. He was never more right. We recently purchased a house together in Louisiana. Excited to begin our lives on the bayou, because there's nowhere, I'd rather be than right By You! "I asked God to give me back my smile, without words He did so by giving me you!"
