What are transportation options to and from the Planetarium?

Answer

Transportation options to and from the Planetarium are convenient and varied. Guests can choose from three primary methods: Car Travel: Reserved parking spots will be available for a small fee in the lot adjacent to the Planetarium Ride Share: Uber and Lyft are readily available in Chicago Shuttle Service: We will provide complimentary shuttle transportation between the Planetarium and our three designated hotels. Shuttles will run multiple times after dinner

Where should I stay while in Chicago?

Answer

We've curated hotel blocks for your convenience, but we also recommend exploring accommodations in River North, Streeterville, or South Loop. These neighborhoods offer easy access to our wedding venue while being near Chicago attractions

What are examples of dressy casual and black tie optional attire?

Answer

Dressy Casual (Welcome Event): Dress pants, a button-down shirt, and optionally a blazer for men. Cocktail dress, jumpsuit, or nice skirt and top for women Black Tie Optional (Ceremony): Tuxedo or dark suit (tie optional) for men. Knee-length/midi cocktail dress or floor length gowns for women

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 6:30pm. We suggest arriving 15 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. Please keep in mind Saturday traffic in Chicago can be unpredictable, so please allow for extra time

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, with a backup plan in case of inclement weather. The reception will take place indoors

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Everyone invited to our wedding is also invited to our welcome party the night before. Please see the "Schedule" tab for information
