Question

When can I see the aquarium exhibits?

Answer

Following the ceremony, we will have cocktails and coral! You will be permitted to bring your compostable cup all around the exhibits to visit the turtles, sting rays, sharks, and more! The animals go to bed at 9:30 PM, so you will have plenty of time to explore.

What should I wear?

Answer

Baltimore in late September is typically 75F/60F, sunny, and with a low chance of precipitation. Both the ceremony and reception will be held entirely indoors. The Aquarium is ADA-compliant, with level ground and quite a lot of carpet. Note that there are several "Movalators" which are escalator ramps. (recommend: no super long dresses), and the aquarium is dim. There's one big open pool in particular, so sequins or loose glitter that might fall in and harm the sea creatures are banned.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes! If not, we would prefer if it was just you. We have a limited capacity in the aquarium, so please honor our guest count.

Why does the party start so late?

Answer

Because the aquarium is still open to the public until 6:30 PM, we will not be able to start our private party until after that. Note that dinner will not be served until about 8:30 PM, so please consider enjoying a late afternoon snack before heading into the aquarium. Don't worry -- we will have the aquarium until midnight so we can dance our hearts out :).

I am bummed. I want to celebrate, but can't attend the wedding at the aquarium.

How should I deliver your gift?

Answer

Thank you in advance for your gift! You can deliver it to the Guest Table prior to the ceremony, or mail it to our home in Madison.
