God’s timing could not have been more perfect. Our love story started in an unconventional way. We were 7,787 miles apart, he lived in California and I am in Kuwait, and we’re literally on the opposite sides of the world with about 12-hour time difference. Through a mutual friend (shout out to my cousin) we “met” online in September 2015 - thanks to modern technology for that. “I fell in love with your soul before I could even touch your skin. If that isn’t true love, then please tell me what is.” It’s amazing that this line is an irrefutable proof of what we have. Since then, we remain in constant communication and drawn closer despite the distance. After few months of being in an online relationship - he finally visited me in Kuwait. We also made sure to have a yearly vacation trip to the Philippines. We shared more memories together and even apart. Our long-distance relationship definitely had its ups and downs. Through it all and by God's grace, we’re able to keep, nurture, and manage to overcome the hurdles of a long-distance relationship. We’re grateful to have an end goal and an approaching date where we knew we would be finally together. Because love is not finding someone to live with. It’s finding someone you can’t live without.
