After a few years of working together in the emergency room, what she thought was a group hangout and he thought was a concert date nearly ended their relationship before it started. One panicked phone call in a Roseland Theater bathroom stall later, including the phrase "No, I think I actually like him, that's the problem," and the rest is history!

They had looked at rings early in the year, but a pandemic, a knee surgery, and a home search made her forget all about it. He didn't, though, and was able to track down the dream ring she had tried on. She thought something was wrong when he was awake at 2 AM as she came home from work, but he had arranged to have their home decorated and had balloons and champagne waiting for her as he got down on one knee.
