What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We're looking forward to celebrating with you in style! Please dress accordingly for our "Beach Cocktail Wedding". Gentlemen, men's ties are optional but please consider button-downs (short sleeves are acceptable) and dressy pants. Ladies can opt for a floor-length gown or cocktail dress! Weddings in Spain are not casual events! It will be warm and the sun goes down at 9pm.

Will I need to learn how to speak Spanish?

Answer

Most of the city of Nerja can understand and translate English, but the locals really appreciate any attempt to speak Spanish. Duolingo is an easy and free option to learn some Spanish basics before September!

How much should we tip?

Answer

Tipping culture is different in Spain compared to the United States. Rounding up to the nearest Euro or anything from 5-10% is more than plenty. Anything more is considered extra and is a pet peeve to the locals. If you pay with card, there is no option to add a tip as well.

Will my electronics work in Spain?

The outlets in Spain are different from the United States! You will need an adapter to charge your devices and they can easily be found on Amazon!
