Christian and Lincie’s story began in 2023 when Christian first saw Lincie on a mutual friend’s Instagram story. He thought she was beautiful, gave her a follow, and a few days later reached out to start a conversation. After a couple of weeks of talking, they went on their first “friend date” to the movies—nothing serious, just two people getting to know each other. They watched The Flash, had a great time, and continued talking. Not long after, they went on another movie date where Christian made his move—putting his arm around her and holding her hand during an emotional moment. That night led to a deeper conversation about their testimonies, goals, and expectations. Although there was something special between them, the timing wasn’t right. Both were still healing from past relationships, and they slowly drifted apart. The rest of 2023 was filled with occasional messages and small interactions, but nothing more. In 2024, their paths crossed again at a worship night in Falls Church, Virginia, where Christian was playing. Seeing each other after months apart brought back familiar feelings, but life had already moved forward for both of them. Although Christian later reached out and shared his feelings, Lincie wasn’t in a place to start something new at the time. Then came August 2024—the moment everything changed. Christian was invited to play at a wedding, and Lincie was also asked to sing. This brought them back into each other’s lives as they prepared and rehearsed together. During that time, it became clear that there was still something between them. The night before the wedding, a simple phone call turned into a three-hour conversation, where they caught up and reconnected on a deeper level. On August 11, 2024, Christian saw Lincie walk into the wedding venue, and in that moment, everything felt different. What once felt uncertain now felt clear. She was everything he had been praying for. That night, after meaningful conversations and quiet moments throughout the evening, Christian opened up and shared how he truly felt and expressed his desire to pursue her intentionally. Lincie took time to process, while Christian continued to seek God and pursue her with patience and clarity. After a trip to El Salvador, Christian felt a deep peace about moving forward, and soon after, they both decided to give their relationship a real chance. On November 20, 2024, after a beautiful date at The Wharf, Christian asked Lincie to be his girlfriend. From that moment on, their relationship has been shaped by both joy and challenges. Together, they have walked through difficult seasons, including loss in the family, life changes, distance, and busy schedules in ministry. Through it all, they have learned that love is not just a feeling, but a daily choice to choose one another. By keeping God at the center, their love has grown stronger through every high and low. A year and three months later, with full confidence in God’s faithfulness, Christian proposed. Through every step, God has guided, provided, and confirmed that this is His plan for their lives.
