While on a trip to Tanzania with Lauren’s mom and sister, Christian booked a sunset cruise around the island of Zanzibar. While stopped at the beach to admire the beautiful tropical sunset over the Indian Ocean, Christian got down to one knee and proposed. Despite his legendary proposal, he was nervous and forgot about the ring while proposing. Even so, Lauren said yes while reminding him that he forgot something. And when he did offer the ring, Lauren’s jaw dropped at how beautiful it was. They then celebrated back on the boat with champagne and tropical fruit as well as a beautiful, personalized cake brought out by the resort.

During the course of their relationship, Lauren and Christian have shared many adventures together. These include traveling around the Midwest including North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan as well as a road trip to Utah traveling through Yellowstone and stopping in Idaho Falls. There they visited Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks as well as Dead Horse Point State Park. Other adventure include seeing the solar eclipse in Little Rock, Arkansas, going to Dallas for a friend’s wedding, and visiting Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada. They also had the amazing experience of going on an African safari. Now they are embarking on a whole new adventure and look forward to all the adventure in the years to come.
