We met at Preakness the summer before Kelsey's freshman year and Chris's sophomore year. We stayed friends by chatting over AIM and then texting back and forth on Chris's EnV and Kelsey's Blackberry. We finally started dating right before Chris's junior formal until Chris fled to California to go to college. Our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend temporarily ended while our friendship still remained. Then, after we both graduated college, Kelsey texted Chris on July 28th for his birthday and we never stopped talking. After 3 years of dating, we moved in together and after 11 years of knowing each other, we got engaged!
During the beginning of the pandemic, we quarantined together at the Consalvo's beach house. One day, we walked to the beach to get out of the house and came across some flowers in the sand. Kelsey thought the flowers looked really pretty but Chris was quick to let her know that they were not for her and that he was not surprising her with anything. Fast forward to October 10th, 2020, we were back at the Consalvo's beach house and Chris asked Kelsey if she wanted to go watch the sunrise on the beach. When we got to the beach, there was once again flowers in the sand, but this time they were for Kelsey. Chris asked Kelsey to marry him and when she said yes, both of our families ran out onto the beach as a surprise to celebrate.
