I like to imagine that we were both bored and scrolling through Hinge just for something to do. Christian liked a photo of mine while I was sitting with a coworker at Halfway Crooks in Atlanta. We had just closed the coffee shop and were grabbing a beer & some fries. I looked through his profile and saw a cute, bearded man with photos from his travels and out in nature. What caught my attention was the mention of a bus being converted into a tiny home. We matched & began having long winded conversations filled with funny memes, gifs, and a lot of heartfelt, open communication. We were on the same page, it often felt like we were reading from the same book. I believe we exchanged 'I love yous' the day after Christmas, a month and some days later. It's always been easy. It's everything we've always wanted. We've lived so much life together in the past five years. We endured the pandemic together, converted a bus, drove around the country, moved to a new city, opened a bookstore, got a cat, and now we're getting married. Five years is just a drop in the bucket of the life we'll live together and I couldn't imagine anyone else I'd rather hang out with.
