In March of 2018, Christian and Justin were both in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for their college spring break's. While Christian and her friends spent most of their time shopping and spending time by the pool, Justin and his teammates spent most of their time on the golf course. It was just another chilly day on the links and one of Justin's teammates, who was actually a really good high school friend of Christian's, just happened to make a hole in one- which of course, had to be documented on Snapchat! After a quick post by none other than the infamous Grant Powell (yep, we owe this one to you GP!), it became apparent that both Grant and Christian (who was also with some other Northwest Guilford friends- go Vikings!) were in Myrtle Beach. Dinner plans were arranged and the 2 groups met that night at Sen'or Frogs. This is where Justin and Christian met for the first time, and as they say- the rest was history!

After 3 years, 4 months and 7 days- Justin finally asked the big question! It was a warm, rainy, humid, very typical North Carolina September day. Christian and Justin had plans to go to Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC for a quick shopping trip and dinner at Cowfish (Christian’s fav restaurant). This was the perfect opportunity to pop the question, given Christian and Justin's very first date consisted of lunch and shopping at Crabtree followed by a walk around the Raleigh Art Park to get to know each other. In his own words, Justin was very nervous and concerned that he would blow the cover off of his big plan. Meanwhile, Christian continuously asked him all day what was wrong with him, since he was unusually quiet throughout the day. After some shopping and a quick trip to Auntie Anne's pretzels (yum!), Justin suggested that they go walk around the Art Park- so they made the drive over that way. What started as a quick walk around the park, ended up being a couple mile-long workout. Finally, when Justin found the perfect place (coordinated with his camera crew, special shout-out to Holly Johnson and Cody Fogleman!) he got down on one knee and Christian said yes!!
