You may know them as Christian and Joel but they know each other as Titus and Bri. Titus and Brianna met in college at Wichita State during a season when neither of them was searching for romance. What connected them first was friendship. They were both walking through unique situations in life, and they became a steady source of support for one another. What began as simple conversations slowly turned into something deeper. That friendship took a turn the day Titus asked Brianna on a date to Il Vicino Pizzeria. From Titus’s perspective, everything shifted while they were standing in line — the sun hit Brianna’s skin so perfectly that it caught him completely off guard. In that moment, he saw her in a new light and knew there was something special there. From Brianna’s perspective, that day meant even more. She showed up exactly as she was — no makeup, no jewelry, her natural hair, fully herself and completely vulnerable. Instead of feeling unnoticed, she felt seen. Titus made her feel beautiful in a way that went deeper than appearances, and that feeling stayed with her. Not long after, Brianna came to Titus’s house one night in tears, missing home and the comfort she knew back in Kansas City, Missouri. Titus didn’t try to fix anything — he simply held space for her, comforted her, and made her feel safe. In that moment, Brianna realized she was falling for him. The peace she felt with Titus was the same comfort she had longed for from home. From that point on, they were inseparable. Between classes and daily life, they spent nearly every moment together. Even though Titus had his own house and Brianna had her own apartment, they naturally chose to be together, slowly blending their lives without even realizing it. When COVID shut the world down, their relationship didn’t pause — it grew. For Titus, that season confirmed Brianna was the person he wanted beside him no matter what the world looked like. For Brianna, it became a time filled with laughter, faith, and the reassurance that God had placed the right person in her life at the right time. What could have been a difficult season instead became one of the most joyful chapters of their story. Looking back, it’s clear that God’s hand was present in every step — from friendship, to vulnerability, to the quiet moments that changed everything. What started as two people supporting each other turned into a partnership rooted in faith, love, and joy. As they prepare to step into marriage, Titus and Brianna are grateful for where they’ve been and excited for where God is leading them next — together.
