How We Met

from strangers to local celebrities

They met through a mutual friend in June 2014 on the dance floor of the classiest establishment in OOB, The pier. Quickly they were both absolutely smitten and inseparable. In the first year, Christian showed Jessica what a down east accent is when bringing her up to his home town, how to make the perfect spicy strawberry margarita, his love for weird south African white rappers, Monday nights are for Trivia, he's up for anything from last minute edm concerts to spontaneous nights on the couch binge watching their latest favorite show. Jessica showed Christian her gangsta tendencies when she surprised him by rapping along with Nicki Manaj on an early morning breakfast run, how delicious Indian food was, the multiple beautiful state parks less than 20 minutes away, and taught him that every room in the house doesn't need to be a different color. Finding someone with the same amount of passion for adventure and excitement for life made for many many memories in the last three years. They traveled the world together From Living in San Diego and exploring the great pacific northwest, the Caribbean seas, Europe and every where in between.

The proposal

When in Venice

Christian and Jessica Decided to plan a Euro trip in three short months. Jessica has a niche for planning so while most people could't imagine setting up an itinerary for 12 days in seeing 7 towns in 4 countries, she found it an an exciting challenge. Belgium, Amsterdam, Germany and Italy The whole trip was romantic from start to finish. From medieval castles in Ghent to driving out to the Swiss alps and taking in the magnificent German countryside The second to last stop was Venice, Italy. Christian and Jessica arrived to their hotel via water taxi and received a great welcome from the JW Venice Marriott. All that surrounded them was romantic! It was VENICE! On the second day in the city they walked the streets with pasta to go in hand, drank wine and later that evening went back to the hotel to enjoy the pool and roof-top views. After a quick shower and change of clothes they hopped back on the water taxi for a nice dinner along the water. The restaurant was perfection. Mussels, wine, lasagna and ocean breeze. what more could a girl want?
