Question

Are there any health & safety tips for traveling to Cabo?

Answer

Please remember to stay hydrated, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time outdoors or plan to have more than a few drinks. Use sunscreen to protect yourself from the strong sun. Do not accept offerings of recreational substances from "beach" local vendors.

Question

Should I bring cash, and what types of cards are accepted in Cabo?

Answer

While it's always good to have some cash on hand for small purchases and tips, most businesses in Cabo accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. ATMs are widely available for cash withdrawals, but be aware of potential foreign transaction fees from your bank. It's also a good idea to notify your bank of your travel plans to avoid any issues with your card. Small vendors, taxis, and some local restaurants may prefer cash, so having a mix of both cash and cards is recommended.

Question

What airport will I be flying in to?

Answer

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) Most major airlines fly into this airport, including American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Aeromexico, United, Qatar Airways, Delta, and Air Canada. *Important note* Immediately leaving airport customs and security, there will be many salespeople attempting to stop you to schedule a taxi or purchase a timeshare. We highly recommend not interacting with these individuals and instead go immediately to the outdoor area.
