We met in a very modern way through Facebook Dating, but from the very beginning, it felt like more than just a random match. When we realized we had a mutual friend I trusted, it made taking that first step feel easy and a little bit like fate. Just one week later, we had our first date at Texas Roadhouse, and from the moment we sat down, something felt different in the best way. Conversation came so naturally, and neither of us wanted the night to end. Two days later, we were already on our second date, completely drawn to each other. Somewhere between the laughter, the easy moments, and everything just falling into place, we both realized the same thing at the same time we had found the person we wanted forever with.
In February, we took a trip to Curaçao with Christian’s family and friends. On February 13th, we had a sunset cruise planned, and as I was getting ready, I had no idea what was about to happen. When I walked out, I found a trail of red roses and Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran playing softly. I followed it outside to Christian, who was waiting for me surrounded by candles and rose petals shaped into a heart. He got down on one knee, and in that moment, everything felt so perfect. It was the easiest yes.
