The couple had the same circle of friends in middle school. They both had huge crushes on each other, so much so that they decided to get married in Christian's front yard one day after school. We wish we could say the two lived happily ever after, but Amelia moved away after freshman year of high school and the two lost connection. While at her best friend's high school graduation ceremony, Amelia bumped into Christian who was also graduating that night. The two fumbled Over their words just to say “hello.” And the rest is history...

Christian wanted to recreate their first date for Valentine's day. Due to him living in Colorado and working at the time, they did their Valentine's day the weekend before February 14th. So, he flew to California and took Amelia to Balboa Island on February 11th. They did all of the same things they did on their first date, such as go to the arcade, take photos in the photo booth, and walk on the beach. As the sun was setting and they were walking along the shore, Christian secretly asked a family to take photos of him proposing while pretending that this family were old friends of his. After stalling long enough, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Amelia said yes and all of the beach bums cheered for them.
